Antwerp has been ranked first in a top 3 for transatlantic services in Northern Europe, with 15 port calls, Bremerhaven came second with 13 calls and Rotterdam third with 12 calls and 18 transatlantic services that call up to 69 times per week at 11 different North European ports in the Gothenburg-UK-Le Havre range, according to the port of Rotterdam.
The closest followers outside the top 3 were Liverpool and Southampton.
Rotterdam welcomed the arrival of the world’s largest ship, the MSC Oscar recently as it prepared to make its next call at Bremerhaven, Germany.
MSC has also announced the addition of a new world largest container entitled the MSC Oliver in an effort to increase its fleet capacity between the Asia-Europe trade route.
