Angola, Israel, Algeria drive Valenciaport’s February growth
According to the Valenciaport Statistical Bulletin, container traffic with Angola increased by 2,200.88 per cent in tonnes between January and February.

The main commercial partner of Valenciaport remained China, with 129,724 TEUs (+36.44 per cent) and 1.4 million tonnes (+29.43 per cent) traded with Asian ports during the same period.

Meanwhile, container traffic between Israel and Algeria climbed by 44.41 per cent and 18.71 per cent, respectively.

This year, the terminals have continued to demonstrate a positive trend, with a 5.39 per cent increase in cargo flow (full containers) leaving Valenciaport for destinations across the world.

According to the Valenciaport Statistical Bulletin for February, full TEU traffic climbed by 9.88 per cent that month, with unloadings accounting for 29.93 per cent and transits accounting for 4.15 per cent of the total for the months of January and February.

Overall, and in the first two months of the year, enterprises who collaborate with Valenciaport handled 12.51 million tonnes through its terminals (+1.35 per cent).

In terms of containers, traffic has reached 863,894 TEUs, representing a gain of 10.34 per cent.

Last month, the Port of Valencia disclosed that 18 per cent of its total energy consumption is powered by renewable solar energy.
