Amazing Remote Operations at Maasvlakte II

A video released by global automation company ABB shows the futuristic remote operations at the APMT Terminals Maasvlakte II (MVII) terminal in Rotterdam.

MVII is the first terminal in the world where STS cranes have no driver’s cabin installed and are operated remotely from a central control room at all times.

At MVII, all types of cranes are equipped with the capability to be remotely operated, and the terminal opened for operations in April, 2015.
