All continents well represented in Bromma’s latest order book

  • Major crane spreader orders taken from Malaysia, Turkey and South Africa

Bromma, the Stockholm-based crane spreader manufacturer, has reported a strong order book from March through to August with orders taken from all four corners of the globe.

The Swedish firm’s largest orders came from Malaysia with seven STS45 and 37 YSX40E units ordered by Westports and a further 23 STS45 and 28 YTS45 separating twin spreaders scheduled for delivery to the Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP).

Elsewhere in Asia, an order for 10 YSX40E models was ordered by the Port of Kaohsiung in Taiwan.

Meanwhile in Australia, Patricks have placed orders for a total of seven STS45 spreaders and in the Middle East Saudi Global Ports have also ordered seven STS45 units for the Port of Dammam.

Both of Bromma’s European orders came from Turkey with 12 STS45 and 10 YSX45E ordered for Yilports’ future terminal expansion for its Gemlik and Gebze terminals. A further 14 STS45 will also be put into operation at the Port of Asya.

South Africa’s Ngqura Port has ordered six STS45 and 22 YSX40E crane spreaders for its own expansion and finally in South America, six STS45 and 16 YSX40E units have been ordered for Bolipuertos La Guaira, Venezuela.
