Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ) has expanded its partnership with Kaleris to deploy AI-enabled terminal operating and optimisation systems across its container terminal network.
The multi-year agreement will see Kaleris roll out its N4 Terminal Operating System (TOS) and advanced optimisation tools across 15 APSEZ container terminals spanning nine domestic and international ports.
The deployment builds on an initial rollout across six ports and forms part of APSEZ’s broader 2030 strategy, which includes $850 million in investment towards decarbonisation, digital infrastructure and expanded cargo handling capacity targeting one billion tonnes annually.
According to APSEZ, the technology rollout is expected to improve operational efficiency across container handling and yard operations.
The company said Kaleris’ Advanced Optimization platform could increase Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) crane productivity by up to 20 per cent and terminal truck productivity by up to 14 per cent.
The expanded deployment will support planning, automation and optimisation functions across APSEZ’s wider maritime and logistics network, creating a unified digital platform aimed at improving visibility, turnaround times and cargo flow predictability.

The rollout also forms part of APSEZ’s wider push towards AI-driven logistics operations, with the company investing in technologies including artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), computer vision and advanced optimisation systems to support real-time operational visibility and resource allocation.
APSEZ said the expanded digital infrastructure is intended to support long-term throughput growth as the operator works towards its one billion-tonne cargo handling target by 2030.
