Abu Dhabi Ports and Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT) have recently presented integrated offerings of Kizad and Khalifa Port at an exclusive business event in Abu Dhabi for Pakistani business persons.

The event, entitled ’Opportunities in Abu Dhabi – A Maritime Trade, Industrial and Logistics Hub’ was hosted in collaboration with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan’s Embassy and the Pakistan Business Professional Council (PBPC) on March 13, 2016.

Asif Durrani, Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE, said: “The Embassy and the PBPC are happy to be part of this event that will also contribute to the bilateral economic relations between Pakistan and the UAE, while offering new opportunities to our business persons.

“I am sure Kizad is an ideal location that can attract Pakistani business persons in the UAE and in Pakistan   to expand their business.”

Mana Mohammed Saeed Al Mulla, CEO of Kizad, said: “Abu Dhabi Ports always takes initiatives to work with the businessmen as we both share the common goal of economic development of the UAE and the world at large.

“The synergy of partnerships and collaborations always bring out wonderful results and we look forward to the same from our engagement with the PBPC.

“The dynamism of Pakistani businessmen in the UAE and in Pakistan is well-known and their contributions to the historical relations between both nations are commendable.

“We hope that our business offerings will extend a new platform of opportunities to further fortify the existing relations.”

Martijn Van De Linde, CEO of Abu Dhabi Terminals, said: “Khalifa Port Container Terminal offers the ideal hub location for the Pakistani business community due to our location midway between Dubai and Abu Dhabi and integration with Kizad.

“Our outstanding productivity levels and fast truck turnaround times ensure that cargo moves fast through the port, thus reducing costs for our customers.

“An event like this gives us the opportunity to present details of all our services to the businesses and answer their enquiries on specific requirements.”

Kizad has around 90 national and international investors, and a total of 1300ha of land leased that represents a total investment of more than US$14 billion.

Khalifa port container terminal handled 1.5 million TEU in 2015, a 32% annual growth making it the fastest growing port in the Middle East.

Currently, ADT is working on expanding the capacity of the container terminal to 2.5 million TEU.
