ABP Fills Chairman Space

Associated British Ports Holdings (ABP), the UK’s largest port operator, has selected Phil Nolan as Non-Executive Chairman, replacing Robert Walvis, who retired as Chairman on February 28, 2017.

Nolan is also Non-Executive Chairman of Ulster Bank Ireland DAC, John Laing Group Plc and Affinity Water Limited.

Having been educated at Queen’s University, Belfast, where he graduated with a PhD in Geology, Nolan worked with British Petroleum, British Gas and served as CEO of Eircom, Ireland’s national telecommunications supplier from 2002 to 2006.

ABP Chief Executive, James Cooper, said: “Phil brings with him a wealth of expertise and experience from a wide range of businesses.

ABP's Port of Hull recently announced that feeder operator Unifeeder added a second container short sea route to the UK via the Baltics.
