A video released by PTI shows an interview with Neil Davidson, Senior Analyst of Ports and Terminals at Drewry Maritime Research, where he discusses three main ways ports and carriers can increase collaboration efforts.

Mr Davidson explains that prior planning is a key element to ensuring that productivity is improved and that ports and terminals would benefit from closer cooperation with carriers.

Carriers’ ship sizes and alliance pair-ups are causing issues for ports globally and it is a situation that will require cooperation at both ends to ensure that operations can remain efficient and congestion-free.
