Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has announced an upgrade to its Iroko service with the addition of a direct call at Cape Town, creating a direct link between South Africa and Asia with shorter transit times for dry and reefer cargo.
The adjustment expands port coverage and strengthens connectivity between Cape Town and major Asian markets. The first call will be made by the MSC Anchorage on 11–12 December 2025.
Direct transit times from Cape Town now include 15 days to Singapore, 21 days to Xiamen, 24 days to Ningbo and 27 days to Nansha.
