Mawani adds new SJA shipping service to Jeddah
The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has announced the addition of the SJA shipping service, operated by Culines, to Jeddah Islamic Port.

This will enhance the competitiveness of Saudi ports on the maritime transport map, support the smooth flow of trade, expand business opportunities, and improve operational efficiency.

The new shipping service connects Jeddah Islamic Port with Sokhna Port in Egypt and Aden Port in Yemen, with a total capacity of 900 TEUs.

Jeddah Islamic Port is the largest port on the Red Sea coast, thanks to its strategic location and 62 multi-purpose berths, giving it a pivotal position regionally and internationally and contributing significantly to the Kingdom’s leadership in the maritime sector.

Earlier this summer, Mawani signed a land lease contract with the National Petroleum & Petrochemical Tanks & Pipeline Co. (Petrotank) to establish an integrated marine bunkering hub at King Fahad Industrial Port in Yanbu.
