A.P. Moller-Maersk (Maersk) has introduced a Congestion Fee Destination (CFD) for all shipments to Casablanca port due to ongoing congestion.
The CFD will take effect from 1 February 2026 for shipments from Non-Regulated Countries, from 10 February 2026 for shipments from Vietnam, and from 1 March 2026 for shipments from Regulated Countries.
Payment of the CFD hawill follow ocean freight. The fee is set at $150 per container.
The rate is based on the Price Calculation Date (PCD). For non-FMC shipments, the PCD refers to the scheduled departure date of the first water leg at the time of booking confirmation. For FMC shipments, it is the last container gate-in date.
In early December 2025, Maersk vessels resumed transits through the Suez Canal. Following the successful transits of the Maersk Sebarok and Maersk Denver, Maersk implemented the first structural change to a service on the trans-Suez route.
