Loconi Intermodal has launched a new direct rail connection between Baltic Hub in Gdańsk, Poland, and PKP Cargo International Terminal Paskov in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
The service, which began at the end of May 2026, connects the Port of Gdańsk with a key industrial region in the Czech Republic.
Loconi Intermodal, a Polish intermodal operator and member of PSA Group, said the route responds to growing market demand for stable, predictable and more sustainable container transport between the Czech Republic and Polish seaports.
The service operates weekly, with trains departing from Baltic Hub every Friday and running directly to the PKP Cargo International Terminal Paskov. The transit time is two days.
According to the company, the connection is intended to support faster and more reliable supply chains, while offering a lower-emission alternative to road transport.
The new service also supports PSA Group’s Node-to-Network strategy in the region, aimed at strengthening links between port infrastructure and inland logistics networks.
Loconi said the connection creates new commercial opportunities for exporters and importers in the Moravian-Silesian region by improving supply chain efficiency, optimising costs and reducing the carbon footprint of logistics flows.
