Kalmar has launched the upgraded T2i Terminal Tractor, a redesigned platform aimed at improving operational efficiency across ports, terminals, heavy industrial sites and distribution hubs in the APAC, Middle East, Africa and Latin America regions.
Produced at Kalmar’s Shanghai facility, the T2i moves away from standardised configurations in favour of a modular design, allowing operators to specify the machine to their precise operational requirements.
Three lifting capacities are available, 28, 32 or 36 tonnes, alongside a choice of three wheelbase options: 2,950 millimetres (mm), 3,200 mm or 3,450 mm.
The range is offered with either a Stage 3A Cummins QSB 6.7 engine for unregulated markets or a Stage V Cummins B6.7 for regions with stricter emissions standards.
The T2i also introduces a fully redesigned ROPS/FOPS certified cabin alongside a reinforced chassis architecture, featuring heavy-duty axles and a heavy-duty lift boom intended to sustain performance under high-cycle loads.

Visibility has been prioritised through a panoramic windscreen with no A-pillars and a curved corner design.
Internal noise levels have been reduced to 75 dB(A), and an optional high-capacity HVAC system is available for operations in extreme climates. Cabin height stands at 1.80 metres.
