DP World highlights steady Jafza investment momentum
DP World has reported AED 854 million ($232 million) in new investments across Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) in the first four months of 2026.

The commitments, made by Jafza tenants, span expansion and development projects across manufacturing, logistics, food production, healthcare, finished vehicle handling and heavy equipment trading.

Investment momentum strengthened through March and April, which accounted for more than 43 per cent of total value signed during the period.

Activity covered a broad cross-section of sectors, including steel, food and furniture manufacturers expanding production capacity; healthcare firms establishing longer-term operational bases in Dubai; third-party logistics providers scaling warehousing operations; finished vehicle logistics operators investing in handling infrastructure; and heavy equipment traders serving regional construction and industrial demand.

Jafza hosts around 12,000 businesses and remains a key component of Dubai’s trade and industrial base. Its proximity to Jebel Ali Port and integration across sea, air and land transport links continues to position the zone as a multimodal hub for trade flows between the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.

Abdulla Al Hashmi, Global Chief Operating Officer, Parks and Economic Zones at DP World, said: “The scale of these commitments, particularly in essential sectors like food and healthcare, highlights how businesses are prioritising resilience alongside growth. We are seeing a clear shift towards long-term investment, with many large tenants choosing to anchor their regional and global operations in Dubai for the coming decades.

“This momentum reflects the strength of our integrated ecosystem as well as the reliability of our business continuity programmes, which have helped keep cargo flowing despite the recent disruption. It also reinforces Dubai’s position as a leading hub for trade, logistics and industrial activity.”
