Evergreen expands WCSA network with PNC loop
Evergreen Line has announced that it will roll out a new Peru–Northern Chile service branded PNC.

The carrier adds a dedicated short-sea loop to its West Coast South America network.

The weekly service will be operated by a single 2,500 TEUs vessel, providing a fixed 14-day rotation linking key regional ports. The inaugural sailing, LAKONIA 334, is scheduled to depart Chancay on 13 May.

Port rotation is set as Chancay – Callao – Iquique – Arica – Chancay, connecting Peruvian gateway terminals with northern Chilean ports and offering extended access to inland Bolivian cargo flows.

The addition of a smaller-capacity vessel on a fixed loop underlines a feeder strategy aimed at improving schedule reliability and strengthening regional port connectivity.

By linking emerging hubs such as Chancay with established terminals in Callao and northern Chile, the service is expected to support more consistent cargo distribution across the sub-region.

The PNC loop also positions Evergreen to capture intra-regional volumes and enhance utilisation of port infrastructure along the West Coast, particularly as trade flows diversify, and demand for shorter transit connections grows.

This announcement follows Evergreen Marine Corporation’s April launch of the “SAF” service, set to be introduced on 28 May 2026.
