CK Hutchison Holdings reported 2025 revenue of HK$507.3 billion ($64.8 billion), up 6 per cent year-on-year (YoY), with underlying earnings rising 7 per cent, supported by growth in its ports division.
Reported profit attributable to shareholders totalled HK$11.3 billion ($1.4 billion), reflecting one-off items linked to the group’s UK telecommunications merger.
In its ports and related services division, revenue increased 8 per cent to HK$48.9 billion ($6.2 billion), driven by a 3 per cent rise in throughput, with contributions from terminals including Yantian and Shanghai, as well as facilities in Asia and the Middle East.
Storage income also rose by 17 per cent, supported by stronger performance in Mexico and Europe.
EBITDA and EBIT for the ports segment both grew 8 per cent, reflecting a combination of revenue growth and cost discipline.

CK Hutchison said the global economic and geopolitical environment remained challenging in 2025, pointing to slower growth in some major economies and growing tensions that have affected trade and investment flows.
The group also flagged geopolitical pressure linked to a legal conflict with the Panamanian State over its Balboa and Cristóbal concessions at the Panama Canal. Recent rulings to void the contracts and place the assets under state control have added to legal uncertainty and raised questions over its proposed $23 billion global ports sale.
Looking ahead, the company expects global trade growth to slow in 2026 amid geopolitical risks and China-US trade tensions. It added that prolonged conflict in the Middle East could divert trade routes away from the region, although its diversified ports portfolio may help offset part of that impact.
Despite the profit decline, CK Hutchison said it remained in a solid financial position, with strong cash generation and a net debt to net total capital ratio of 13.9 per cent at year-end.
