Chattogram suspends fourfold container storage charge
The Chattogram Port Authority (CPA) has temporarily suspended the collection of storage rent at four times the normal rate for imported full container load (FCL) containers.

The authority announced the decision in a notice published on 27 July.

The measure applies specifically to imported FCL containers at Chattogram Port. The publicly available notice listing does not state when the suspension takes effect or how long it will remain in place.

Last year, Chittagong Drydock Limited, a naval-affiliated ship repair company, officially took over operations of the New Mooring Container Terminal at Chittagong Port.
