Motherson, through its joint venture SAMRX, has partnered with Dighi Port Limited (DPL), a subsidiary of APSEZ, to develop a dedicated auto-export facility at Dighi Port in Maharashtra.
The partnership positions Dighi Port as the new export gateway for OEMs across the Mumbai–Pune automotive belt.
As one of APSEZ’s 15 strategic ports, Dighi will expand its capabilities to support India’s growing vehicle exports under the Make in India initiative, enabling seamless import and export flows for global markets.

The new RoRo terminal will feature advanced infrastructure for end-to-end Finished Vehicle (FV) logistics, enabling streamlined operations for major automotive OEMs.
SAMRX will invest in the terminal to vertically integrate its offerings, delivering a comprehensive solution with full cargo visibility.

The facility will provide single-window RoRo operations — from yard and PDI to charging, storage and vessel loading — supported by AI-driven yard optimisation for real-time traceability and near-zero dwell.
It will offer the fastest OEM evacuation route from Maharashtra’s auto belt via NH-66, alongside a RoRo-ready 1.3 km jetty designed for all-weather operations.
The hub will be EV-ready for next-generation exports and will provide OEM-integrated dashboards for load planning and live volume tracking.
Strategically located on India’s west coast, Dighi Port serves Maharashtra’s landlocked industrial corridors with warehouses, tank farms and open stockyards, supported by strong road connectivity and direct berthing.
Already equipped to handle oil, chemicals, containers and bulk cargo, its expansion into RoRo operations marks a major milestone in APSEZ’s plan to build integrated, future-ready logistics hubs.
