Kempower and APM Terminals (APMT) have signed a three-year framework agreement for the supply of DC fast-charging infrastructure across APM Terminals’ global network of container terminals.
Kempower, a global provider of direct current fast-charging solutions, will deploy its high-power charging technology at multiple terminals over the agreement period.
The deal supports APMT’s decarbonisation roadmap, which targets net-zero operations by 2040 through the transition from diesel-powered terminal equipment to battery-electric alternatives.
Three pilot projects are already underway, at APMT Yucatán in Mexico, TM2 in Morocco, and Callao in Peru, to support the introduction of the first electric vehicles at those sites.

“Through this Global Frame Agreement, Kempower becomes a key partner in enabling a consistent and scalable charging infrastructure, supporting both our decarbonisation objectives and future ready charging solution that supports sustainable operations across our terminals.”

The agreement does not include binding order volumes. APM Terminals will place individual orders with Kempower in line with its own investment plans and requirements.
