AGCT boosts rijeka operations with hybrid RTGs
Adriatic Gate Container Terminal (AGCT) has taken delivery of two new hybrid rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes, further strengthening its operational capabilities at the Port of Rijeka.

The equipment arrived in late December, shortly after the terminal received two new super post-Panamax quay cranes as part of a broader infrastructure upgrade.

The hybrid RTGs enhance yard operations while supporting AGCT’s sustainability objectives through reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions.

The equipment acquisitions underscore AGCT’s investment in capacity expansion and service reliability to meet growing demand and reinforce Rijeka’s role as a strategic gateway in the region.

Last month, Brazil’s Minister of Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filho, announced a R$948 million ($174.5 million) private investment to expand and modernise the International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) Rio Brasil Terminal at the Port of Rio de Janeiro.
