Elme of Sweden has developed a unique method of using a Reach Stacker to tip shipping containers to empty them.

Distributed by Eurolift, the spreader can be supplied in two ways; as a telescopic model 817 to handle both 20ft and 40ft containers, or alternatively a 327 fixed 20ft model with a capacity of up to 45t.

The method itself, is said to be suitable for any bulk materials which flow, including minerals, bales of waste, grain, fertiliser and coffee beans.  The spreader can tilt up to 45°, if necessary, depending on the repose angle of the contents.
