APM Terminals Crane & Engineering Services, TMEIC Corporation, Banner Engineering Europe, Gaussin, Phoenix Products and Moffatt & Nichol have become the latest companies to join the Port Equipment Manufacturers Association (PEMA).
The six new members will join ABB Crane Systems, Konecranes, Terex, Conductix-Wampfler, Gottwald Port Technology and others as part of the exclusive forum and public voice for the global port equipment and technology sectors.
“We are delighted to welcome our new members, who bring an array of valuable expertise and knowledge to further strengthen the Association,” said PEMA President Ottonel Popesco.
“As PEMA continues to grow, we are engaging in a wider range of research, recommendations and standards development to address key issues now facing the port and terminal industry in the areas of safety, the environment and application of advanced technologies,” he added.
PEMA was established in late 2004 by a group of leading equipment manufacturers serving the global port and terminal markets, with an overall goal of creating a neutral platform that could publicly represent the industry as a whole, as well as fostering knowledge and relations within the global port equipment community.
Today, PEMA’s members represent a broad cross-section of companies active in the design and supply of equipment, systems and technology to support the growing demands of modern port and terminal operations.
