This news follows a recent PTI article that reported on China announcing it will start implementing random inspections on containers that are being exported from its ports.

With the majority of those questioned in a recent PTI poll stating that they are still confused with the new rule, the International Maritime Organisation has proposed that a three-month delay be given to shippers in order to make compliance much more practical and pragmatic.

This was followed by news that world-leading freight forwarder Kuehne + Nagel will be offering e-container weighing services through e-marketplace INTTRA.
