CEO of Maersk Line, Eivind Kolding will give a state-of-the-industry address at TOC Europe, June 7th.

Maersk Line CEO Eivind Kolding will use his state-of-the-union keynote address at the upcoming TOC Europe 2011 conference in Belgium to issue a frank message and wake-up call to cargo owners, carriers and other members of the global container supply chain, Tuesday next week.

In his speech on the morning of 7 June, Kolding is set to identify the three key challenges that Maersk Line believes the whole container shipping industry must now address to ensure that it has a prosperous future.

The head of the world’s largest container carrier will also use the leading container industry event to unveil a radical manifesto for change, with the intent of kicking off a global dialogue on the way forward.

“Our industry and our customers benefit every day from the time, effort, money and sheer belief in the future that went into building the global container transport system as we know it today,” said Kolding.

“When containers came along, we had to change everything and we believe the time has come to make that change again. At TOC Europe, I hope to start the debate that will redefine our future and help us add tremendous new value to our customers’ supply chains worldwide.”

Eivind Kolding’s keynote address takes place at 10:00 hrs CET on Tuesday 7 June. TOC Europe 2011 runs from 7-9 June at the Antwerp Expo, Belgium.
