Luka Koper Port to implement Tideworks terminal operation system

• Tideworks to install TOS System at Luka Koper Port

• Slovenian Port to deploy entire Tidework TOS solutions suite

Tideworks Technology, Inc., today announced that Luka Koper, the chief port and logistics company of Slovenia, has selected Tideworks to implement its comprehensive suite of terminal operating system (TOS) solutions at the country’s main seaport.

The deployment will include Tideworks’ entire suite of TOS solutions including Mainsail Terminal Management System®, Mainsail Online, Spinnaker Planning Management System®, Traffic Control™, Forecast® and Digital Bridge™ performance monitoring tool.

“The Port of Koper is an important gateway, connecting Central and Eastern Europe with Mediterranean countries and the Far East,” said Michael Schwank, president of Tideworks Technology.

“We are excited to be working with Luka Koper to deliver our best-in-class solutions that will enable the port to cost effectively boost operating efficiency and replace the current system with Tideworks’ fully-supported TOS offering,” Mr Schwank added.

In addition to directing all aspects of container activities, Tideworks’ TOS will help Luka Koper manage Roll-on/Roll-off (Ro-Ro) operations with its integrated Ro-Ro and non-containerized cargo module.

As part of the agreement with Luka Koper, Tideworks will provide a host of professional services including project management, software customization and testing, user training, data migration, go-live assistance, and on-going maintenance and support.

The project will be accomplished in close cooperation with Luka Koper’s outsourcing information technology company, Actual I.T. of Koper.
