The Port of Long Beach saw its seventh straight month of increased cargo volumes in January, 2016, having seen a 24.8% rise in container shipments over the same month in 2015 shortly after the port was reeling from congestion issues.

Port of Long Beach terminals moved more than 536,000 TEU in January, 2016 as imports were up 30.3% to more than 278,000 TEU.
Exports rose by 8.4% to more than 106,000 TEU and empty containers rose 28.6% year over year, to more than 150,000 TEU.
