International Container Terminal Services (ICTSI) has reported its unaudited consolidated financial results for the first nine months of 2014, posting a revenue from port operations of US$779.2 million, an increase of 25% on the $624.7 million reported for the same period in 2013.

For Q3, which ended September 30, 2014, revenue from port operations increased 27% from $211 million of Q2 to $268.9 million.

ICTSI handled more than 5.4 million TEU in the first nine months of 2014, 17% more than the 4.6 million TEU figure handled in the same period in 2013.

Total consolidated throughput was also up by 15% from Q2 in Q3 of 2014 for ICTSI.

The increase was mainly due to the volume generated by the Company’s new container terminals in Manzanillo, Mexico and Puerto Cortes, Honduras.

The company’s seven key terminal operations accounted for 70% of the group’s consolidated volume in the first nine months of 2014.

ICTSI is widely acknowledged to be a leading global developer, manager and operator of container terminals in the 50,000 – 2.5 million TEU per year range.
