The Port Authority of the Balearic Islands (APB) has announced a tender for redesign and improvement works at the Port of Ibiza, Spain.
Work will be carried out on the South Ro-Ro Quay and the Fuel Quay and will includemaking the quays stronger and more durable by replacing the current piling structure with sheet-piling.
The maximum implementation period has been set to 15 months, with a tender budget of €9,181,44.96 (US$1,251,656.92).
The work will be carried out in two phases to allow at least one of the two quays to remain operational at all times.
The improvement work will be carried out over a surface area of 8,352m2, which includes the berthing lines on the South Ro-Ro Quay and the Fuel Quay, and two Ro-Ro ramps for loading and unloading.
The closing date for bids is August 18 2014.
