Evergreen Line and Mitsui O.S.K to run joint Asia-Southeast Africa service

Evergreen Lines are to run a joint weekly service with MOL linking Asia with Southeast Africa.
Evergreen Line has announced that it will join Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) in a slot-charter agreement linking Asia to Southeast Africa.
The weekly service, called MZX (Mozambique Zuid Africa Express Service), will begin departing from Tanjung Pelepasis from the 11th August 2011.
The MZX service will be operated by five ships on the 35-day transit route, enhancing the shipping network around the Indian Ocean islands by extending the current service to the market of Southeast African landlocked countries
The full port rotation for the MZX is as follows: Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Port Louis, Durban, Maputo, Tanjung Pelepas.
Evergreen Line operates the fourth largest container fleet in the world, with over 180 ships by capacity of approximately 650,000 TEU.
MOL operates more than 800 vessels, from containerships to tramp vessels and specialized carriers for cargoes including automobiles, iron ore, coal, wood chips, crude oil, liquefied natural gas (LNG), and chemicals.
