Demag Cranes has been presented with the People Development Award (Cargo Handling) at the annual International Bulk Journal (IBJ) awards.
The IBJ Award was presented as a result of the intensive training concept for crane drivers, which aims to provide crane owner's with the opportunity of cutting the cost of running machinery on site.
The IBJ Awards have been presented to members of the bulk materials handling industry since 2009.
“We consider this training scheme to be a further step in our strategy of providing customers with added value through innovative service solutions to improve their day-to-day working processes,” said Dr. Martin Habert, Executive Vice President of Services at Demag Cranes, on receiving the accolade.
Each training course applies to both the hands-on training on a Gottwald HMK 260 E Mobile Harbour Crane dedicated to training purposes and to the preceding theoretical training 2 sessions, according to Demag.
