  • Egypt's Damietta Port acquires two additional STS cranes

  • Cranes were delivered by ZPMC to DCHC earlier this month

Damietta Container & Cargo Handling Co. (DCHC) has acquired two new STS cranes for container terminal at Damietta Port - Egypt.

The two ship-to-shore gantry cranes arrived on board MV ZHEN HUA 11 at the beginning of the month, with the super post-panamax STS cranes being provided by ZPMC.

In addition to the current 8 STS, the new equipment will increase the operational productivity at the terminal considerably.

Egypt's Port of Damietta is located 9 kilometers west of the Damietta branch of the River Nile in the Mediterranean sea to the west of Ras El Bar.

Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (ZPMC) is a heavy-duty equipment manufacturer, boasting China's Communication Construction Co., Ltd. (CCCC) as it's majority shareholder.
