Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) has invited contractors to express an interest within the new grain terminal at the new port of Aqaba in Jordan.
The new development is seen as one of Jordan's key infrastructure projects and will be located to the south east of the main port.
The new grain terminal will primarily be used for storage but will also feature a baggage plant, truck-loading facilities, offices and conveying systems.
ADC is jointly-owned by ASEZ and the Jordanian government and is aspiring to transform Jordan into key player in business across a number of sectors.
ADC have highlighted the need for prospective contractors to have experience in contract values in excess of $15 million, with the successful company having to link up with a local contractor yet to be assigned, according to Dredging Today.
