Expanded green flag program starts Jan. 1

A newly expanded version of the Port's Green Flag air quality program begins on New Year's Day, and cargo vessel operators are encouraged to start the fuel-saving, pollution-reducing slowdown as of January 1 or soon afterward to qualify for financial incentives from the Port.

Registration for ESPO 2009 Conference opens

Maritime Commission stalls clean trucks

The Federal Maritime Commission has posed more questions about the Clean Trucks Program, delaying for at least another 45 days the nation's busiest seaports -- the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles -- from collecting a fee needed to finance the replacement of thousands of polluting cargo trucks.

ICTSI names Francis M. Andrews Regional Manager for Europe, Middle EastInternational Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) recently appointed Francis M. Andrews as Regional Manager for Europe and the Middle East. Andrews has been with the Company since 2000, and was formerly General Manager of Manila International Container Terminal, and sat on the boards of various ICTSI subsidiaries.
