First up was Tideworks who announced that Ter Haak Group has selected them to upgrade its terminal operating platform at the company’s Amerikahaven multipurpose terminal in Amsterdam, Netherlands, see the full story here. 

ABB Crane Systems had attendee's buzzing with an on-site demonstration of its newly launched Training Simulator CS800. Giving operators the ability to be trained in a safe and authentic environment, it's as close to the real thing as one can get. Jade Software Corporation were on hand showcasing the latest version of its successful Jade Master Terminal. Jade claim to be the only fully object oriented container, general cargo and bulk terminal operating system.

Linde Material Handling took TOC as an opportunity to introduce their new line of fork lift trucks (the H320)  as seen in the accompanying images below. 

Liebherr has recently launched its newest product, the LHM 120 mobile harbour crane, with a miximum lifting capacity of 42 tonnes and a mazimum outreach of 30 metres. Liebherr have begun 2009 well, with a number of significant contracts in emerging markets.

Meanwhile, disc brake manufacturer Sibre were showcasing a range of products on site including TEXU 800, 900 & 1000 Twin Calliper Disc Brakes, ASC-AS All-Steel-Coupling, andthe CB8 Compact Disc Brakes. Other annoucements came from LXE who launched the new MX9 handheld computer, designed especially for use in harsh port environments, Jeppesen, who were displaying its REKO automated resource allocation solution, and Zebra who recently achieved an international milestone as Transnet Port Terminals became the first port operator worldwide to manage Navis SPARCS N4 tos froma central location across 21 marine and rail terminals.
