TAIM WESER is a Spanish world-leading company with more than 100 years of experience and specialised in high-technology turnkey projects within the fields of bulk materials handling, lifting equipment and also waste treatment plants and renewable energy. Our headquarters are located in Zaragoza, Spain, in a 64,000 m2 facility. In Germany we have a central office in Bad Oeynhausen and a branch office in Saarlouis, and in Brasil we have a factory in Curitiba.
Based on our own technology and patents, we have supplied installations in 60 countries and we have become an international paradigm with a presence in the most important world markets, standing for excellence in management. We are fully committed to innovation and technology, to our people, to total quality and to our competitive approach. Bulk Materials Handling |
TAIM WESER’s product range covers all the necessary equipment for unloading, conveying, storing, reclaiming and loading of bulk materials, having supplied equipment and turnkey plants including different types of equipment, such as belt conveyor systems, stockyard machinery (different types of stackers, reclaimers, hoppers), shiploaders and train and truck loading stations. Our bulk material business unit comprises mainly the following product lines: - Stockyard machinery - Port terminals - Conveying systems - Turnkey solutions Stockyard machinery Our proven experience in stockyard systems includes circular as well as longitudinal stockyards, either open or covered. We supply all types of reclaimers, bucket wheel machines, fixed or travelling stackers and combined stacking and reclaiming machines, permitting us to be able to customise solutions to client requirements depending on the type of material to be handled, type of storage and environmental conditions. Port terminals We can provide references in ports from around the globe for the loading and unloading of bulk materials ranging from grain to minerals as well as fertilisers and bagged material. At TAIM WESER we adapt ourselves to the customer’s conditions. We design and supply equipment which adapts to the existing port installations integrating various loading, unloading and handling equipment. Conveying Systems Bulk material conveying equipment is one of the traditional product lines of TAIM WESER for which we are renowned worldwide. Our bulk material conveying systems can be found on the five continents, in the power, industrial and port sectors; with lengths up to tens of kilometres; with capacities of up to tens of thousands of tonnes per hour. Turnkey solutions We are specialists in the design, fabrication and supply of complete turnkey installations for the handling of bulk materials on a worldwide basis and within the major industrial sectors. |

Cranes |
Our Business Unit is active principally in the following sectors: - Steel industry - Nuclear and ower sectors - Coker cranes - Container handling - Cranes for ports Steel industry We supply the steel industry with a wide range of products, from scrap handling cranes either for outdoor(portal cranes) or indoor(EOT cranes) scrap schemes, scrap basket transfer cars, furnace charging and teeming cranes, tundish cranes and the handling cranes for rolling mills and forges. Based on the principles of redundant drives and remote control, developed for the nuclear industry, we have adapted a similar philosophy for the steel industry leading to the remote control of the various types of cranes from a control room without direct vision of the crane. Nuclear and power sectors From the early days we have been active in projects related to the power sector. Initially our activities within this sector were in the hydroelectric power plants, however today many countries have reached a maximum utilization of their water resources for power and the power sector has turned to the nuclear sector. We are a leading supplier of cranes for the handling of low and intermediate active nuclear waste and nuclear fuel. We have also supplied high precision cranes to the most prestigious research experiments in the world, CERN and CELS studying the relation between mass and energy. Coker cranes In 1983 we delivered our first crane specialised in pet coke handling within the coker plant in a refinery. Taking advantage of our experience in the development of cranes for the nuclear industry and considering the material to be handled, TAIM WESER has developed a technology called “total safety” which has been applied through the years to various industrial applications including the petrochemical sector. The application of this “total safety” technology to the coker cranes has lead to the creation of state of the art cranes with a series of specific characteristics such as hoist mechanism redundancy, totally driven crane and trolley wheels, on board emergency frequency converters and certain sensitive parts fabricated in stainless steel amongst others and which guarantee full crane availability. |
|
Container Cranes |
The use of containers as the most frequent method of transporting cargo and the ever increasing “just in time” requirement has lead to a massive increase in sea born trade. The terminals have to be equipped with container handling machinery with great efficiency and availability. To keep up with these needs we have developed ship to shore, rail mounted yard gantry (RMG) and rubber tyredgantry cranes (RTG) as well as combined cranes for the handling of containers and pallets. |
|
Cranes for Ports |
We are present in the ports supplying ship unloading cranes with both the “rope trolley” and the “onboard hoist trolley” solutions as well as units with hydraulic grabs, all these for a range of products such as scrap, coal , minerals and fertilisers. We have equipped these units with anti-sway systems to reduce unloading times and the most advanced equipment to assist and optimise operation and maintenance. Depending on the environmental conditions and the product to be handled we install dust suppression and collection systems. |
|
Waste Treatment Plants |
We possess a wealth of experience in the design and supply of turnkey installations for waste treatment. We combine the most advanced technology with up to date criteria on economics and sustainability, to guarantee the highest quality and efficiency of our machines and plants, which are specifically designed for the extreme environmental conditions and have proven their reliability for many years Our main product range includes Mechanical-biological treatment (MBT), Composting plants, Materials recovery facilities (MRF) and Refuse derived fuel (RDF) production plants. |
|
Renewable Energy |
In line with our great commitment to environmental conservation and our innovation policy, we design and supply projects favouring sustainable development. In this field, we have developed a state-of-the-art highly efficient gasification plant to produce electric power and thermal energy from biomass fuel sources. The gasification technology developed by TAIM WESER is based on a Down-Draft gasification vessel with a descending fluidised bed parallel flow, which is characterised by the low tar content in the gas product. Moreover we are present in the Wind Energy sector, where we posses a vast amount of experience in the wind energy sector due to our participation in the promotion and development of wind farms and we carry out the development, promotion and project |
