Since its origin in 1944, Martin Engineering has provided solutions to typical problems faced in bulk materials handling.

Today, Martin Engineering is a leading international developer, manufacturer, and supplier of innovations to improve the handling of bulk materials in basic industries.

Martin Engineering Company is a family-owned business incorporated in the state of Illinois. From roots in central Illinois, the business has expanded to serve customers around the world through a global network of business units, licensees, distributors, and authorized representatives.
Martin Engineering still reflects its small-town roots, with a “lets roll up our sleeves and figure it out” work ethic and an Absolutely, Positively, No Excuses Guarantee.

The fourth edition of Martin Engineering’s book FOUNDATIONS™ The Practical Resource for Cleaner, Safer, More Productive Dust & Material Control is the authoritative reference on "Why" and "How" to improve conveyor productivity.

MARTIN® Inertial FlowTM Transfer Chutes

By managing the material speed and direction, Martin® Inertial FlowTM Transfer Chutes can minimize impact and wear on liners and belts, while containing the dust and spillage that are often generated at transfer points.

The engineered flow chutes employ special geometries that capture and concentrate the material stream as it travels through the chute.  Every design is tailored to suit the specific material characteristics and conveyor systems of the individual customer, rather than using stock products and attempting to make them work.

MARTIN® SPRAY Dust Suppression System

MARTIN® SPRAY Dust Suppression System uses dual spray bars to apply water directly to the material stream to provide dust control without containment.

The spray bar system operates at facility water line pressure and is activated using a 110/120V control signal. The spray bars are used in applications where containment is not needed or desired. (A traditional fog system should only be applied in situations where containment was provided.)

By strategically wetting the material as it moves through the transfer, the potential to create dust is eliminated.

EVO® Conveyor Guards

EVO® Conveyor Guards from Martin Engineering provide a simple, flexible and cost-effective solution to conveyor guarding, with component designs to help keep personnel safe by restricting access to moving parts and pinch points.

The new conveyor guards conform to OSHA 29 CFR 1910.217 when installed with a minimum of 5.50 inches of clearance between the guard opening and hazard. They also comply with MSHA Safety Standards 56.14107 (moving machine parts), 56.14110 (flying or falling material), 56.14112 (guard construction), 75.1722 (mechanical equipment guards) and 77.4400 (mechanical equipment guards).

QCTM #1 MT Pre-Cleaner Blade

This high-quality cleaning blade, for use on vulcanized conveyor belts, features a special polyurethane blend and tungsten carbide tip to deliver service life two to three times longer than conventional urethane blades.

Designed to provide excellent cleaning performance immediately, avoiding any break-in period, the QCTM #1 MT Pre-Cleaner from Martin Engineering maintains consistent tension without frequent adjustment, requiring re-tensioning just twice a year in most applications.

The new pre-cleaner was developed specifically for vulcanized belts with no mechanical splices, and can be used at belt speeds up to 900 feet per minute (4.6 meters per second).

MARTIN® Insertable Dust Collector

The MARTIN® Insertable Dust Collector is an automatic, self-cleaning filter designed to remove dust from the air in conveyor loading and transfer points, silo vents, bucket elevators and screens.

The collector design employs filter elements that are approximately one-eighth the size of filter envelopes in the preceding system. The smaller filter elements allow a significant reduction in the dust collector’s “footprint,” so it can be installed in locations where tight quarters complicate the installation of other systems.

The mesh-like material filters better and lasts longer -- while consuming less energy -- than conventional filter bags. The new filters also allow a reduction in fan size to move air through the elements, helping to reduce the overall power consumption of the collection system.

MARTIN Insertable Collectors feature a pulse cleaning system, which uses a short burst of air sent back through the filter to dislodge accumulated material. Filter changes are a no-tool procedure from the clean side of the dust collector.
