Hello all and welcome to the brand new Port Technology International website!
Isn't it wonderful? And just in time for Christmas too.
Being a good hostess, I'll give you a quick tour...
As you can see, it still has all the old features that have made our site so popular in the past. The News content, as ever, is updated daily so keep calling back to keep abreast of all the latest industry developments (follow us on Twitter to get a live feed of all the latest headlines).
Then we have the Journal Archive which will have all our old editions in it (once we've finished uploading them!); Technical Papers features articles from the PTI journal that you can download for free. We'll be adding more papers all the time, so do keep checking back.
Aside from that we now feature our very exciting Equipment Directory, where you can browse and compare companies, equipment and services available on the market today. You can even add a 150-word description of your company to the Directory for free here.
This new website is the cherry on the cake of our 15th year in the industry. Earlier this year, we also gave our print journal a face-lift, complete with our fancy new logo. If you're not so familiar with the print journal, you can view a sample of it here. And if you like it, then you should subscribe!
Now my next project is to make PTI the best it can possibly be in 2011 - we have lots of exciting stuff in store for next year, but can't say too much at the moment!
A big thank-you to everyone who has made PTI what it is over the past 15 years - our authors, our advertisers, and of course, you the reader! Also, thanks to all the team here at PTI, especially our indomitable web developer Azeem, who has had a lot to put up with of late.
I will write something a little more substantial soon, but for now I will sign off and let you explore the new site. I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions, so feel free to email me.
Have a fantastic Christmas period and New Year - and here's to many many more years of Port Technology International!
Holly.
PS. One of my other BIG projects for 2011 will be to get a better photo than that one!
