The new EYE-LITE™ is an advanced, continuous zoom thermal imager camera based on the EYE-Z™ cooled IR engine providing flexible configurations for short or long-range applications.

The EYE-LITE™ thermal camera supplies military and paramilitary surveillance with night vision capability, as well as airborne, ground and naval applications.   There are two basic versions, 320 x 240 InSb FPA, and the large format 640 x 480 InSb FPA for the highest resolutions currently available. The camera can be controlled via communication protocol, or by discrete signals implemented either locally or remotely with an RCU (remote control unit).  A close-up lens of x2.5 or x2 is also available and can be connected for ultra long-range observation.  It can be integrated either into gimbals, pan and tilt stations and other fixed or mobile platforms.

With its modular design, EYE-LITE™ can be custom-tailored to meet specific requirements and is equipped with continuous zoom to get a closer look at security threats once detected.  It provides the advanced system engineer with a powerful thermal imaging system through flexible configurations for short and long-range functions.

Intermodal transportation: The next wave?Holidays are almost over, for those lucky enough to go on vacation. I spent my time away from the sea, and well above sea level. Just for reassurance. As you might know, the majority of Dutch grounds are below sea level (about 65%), and we keep dry feet by pumping water. Without that, we would build our sandcastle around "Amersfoort at the Sea" (a city some 80km inland). However, spending time in the Alps, some 800m above sea level, my rectangular box driven mind did not come to a complete standstill, wondering about hinterland transportation.
